When we first met Angel, her sisters Annie and Abby, their boyfriend Angus, and a whole litter of pups they were severely neglected by their drug dealing owners. They were kept in the backyard; skinny, scared, rarely fed, and never played with. We asked them numerous times if we could find new homes for the dogs or at least get them to a vet for a health check and spays. Even though they were neglected and very skinny the owners said they loved them and wanted to keep them. So we continued to do what we could, getting them food and water through the fence and giving them what attention we could through and over a fence.

Then one day, much to our delight, the police came and arrested everybody at the house. Finally we were able to get the whole doggie clan out of their and on their way towards a better life.

As you can see by the pictures these girls are no longer skinny and are certainly now played with a lot. They are still somewhat scared of new things and new people. Although I think nervous and shy is a better description than scared since they do warm up to people and new situations fairly quickly and are then very loving and affectionate sweetie pies. All the puppies were quickly adopted and now this sweetie and her sisters are patiently waiting to find a home and a human to call there very own and to love for ever and ever and ever and ever.
